Cushion-Making Bee

An Essex resident asked SCEH if there was a need for fabric for projects in Haiti.  As the library had requested cushions for the interior perimeter wall of the library and for children to sit on in the children’s area, SCEH gratefully accepted.  Hearing that, another Essex resident donated additional curtain fabric. A group of women, bearing sewing machines and shears, gathered to cut, pin, sew, turn and hand-sew these “sit-upons.”  There are now almost 60 pillows at the library which were presented at the Dedication of the Library in April 2016.
